Leon Crest 7-60GN
UX-06
Weight: 34.7g (LOW END) - 35.2 (HIGH END)
Design: Seven-sided blade with vertical protruding contact points and padded support underneath.
Gimmick Wall: Leon Crest's design focuses on providing wall-like defense due to its thick and wide blade.
Stamina vs. Stamina Use: Despite being nearly as wide as Wizard Rod, Leon Crest lacks the stamina to compete effectively. It should be used in Defense vs. Attack contexts, particularly with Bits like Ball or Orb, as it only has enough stamina to outlast attackers.
Defense vs. Attack: Leon Crest offers excellent defense, effectively walling off attackers and providing a strong defense even against top-tier hard hitters. Tilting is recommended to avoid strong impact hits, as standing still might make it easier to KO.
Attack vs. Attack: With its round shape and strong stamina, Leon Crest excels in AVA matchups, especially with Bits like Point or Taper, as it can tank and outlast attackers.
Strengths:
Defense: Leon Crest provides unparalleled wall-like defense, superior to any defense blade released up to its time.
Counterdefense: The forward-facing contacts allow Leon Crest to snipe attackers, potentially causing a ratchet Burst. It excels in both defense and counterattacks.
Weaknesses:
Scrape Risk: Due to its wide and thick blade, improper launching can cause it to scrape the stadium and lose stamina.
Overall: Leon Crest is the best defense blade in Beyblade X, it is able to defend against top tier attacks making it very competitive for use. Not only that but on balance combo setups it is able to have great stamina to outlast attackers. Due to the fact it can outlast attackers to a great extent this is a must have for any blader wanting to have a real defense type used in Beyblade X.
Gameplan: On defense setups you want to hard launch tilt with Leon Crest in order to defend well and parry off against other attacks. Using attack setups you want to focus on launching direct to your opponent to wall off any attacks and outlast via stamina.
Combos:
Attack: Leon Crest 7-60/9-60/5-60 HT, T, R, LF, P
Defense: Leon Crest 5-60/3-60/9-60 Ball / Orb / Hexa
Weight: 7g
Design: 7-60 is a ratchet that has 7 sides and a low height, the contact areas for the ratchet are 6 wide ratchet points with 1 very protruding square point.
Strengths:
Weight/Thickness: This is the heaviest ratchet for low height which has its benefits for attack and defense combinations. For defense it can be used since the Ratchet is thick and heavy to tank most attackers using the shape and weight. You could as well buff up attackers with 7-60 to give a small weight boost if one would want to.
Low Height: It is one of the lowest-height ratchets, making it great for attack combinations or other low-height setups, depending on the context.
Weakness:
Scrape Risk: Due to how wide and thick the ratchet is, it is possible in battle if not launched properly to scrape around and lose stamina.
Slow Movement: Having a heavy ratchet is both a pro and a con, being on other blades it also means you are going to be a bit slower meaning you have to launch harder to compensate.
Burst Risk: This goes both ways 7-60 at times can simply just never burst or it can burst very hard, this is likely due to the one contact that protrudes a bit more on 7-60 making it a lot easier to take down and Burst if a lucky hit is given.
Stamina: 7-60 Is not really meant to be used for pure stamina as it does worse than 3-60 in a stamina mirror, however this is not too relevant if one is going to just use it for defense or attack.
Overall: 7-60 is a unique ratchet where it can either have great burst resistance and defend against any attack thrown against it, or completely fall apart and Burst. Due to the fact it is heavy, it is preferred to be used on Defense and or Attack combinations. Due to the versatility it is a must have for any defense or attack combos for weight making it a must have to any bladers collection.
Weight: 2g
Design: Gear Needle is a Beyblade X bit with low burst resistance and a large gear cone shape with a tiny sphere like bottom.
Strengths:
Counter Movement: Due to the very nature of design the bit is focused on counter attack or counter defense where it will focus on the Xtreme Line and you will have a bit that won't go with out a fight.
Xtreme Dash: If launched correctly similar to a point Gear Needle is specialized in Xtreme Dash due to the nature of the gears.
Stamina Destablizer: While not good at specifically Defense Gear Needle has the property to be able to destablize other opponents and push back in counter movement.
Weaknesses:
KO Risk: Due to shape not being something that can really grip the stadium it can easily be KO'd costing you big points.
Gimmick failure?: Since the bit has low burst resistance and it is focused on fast movement it forces this bit to just die easily to Burst Finish and not be as consistent as you want. Despite being a defense bit most of the use come at some wacky stamina hybrid combo where it can sometimes help beat a lot of stuff via destabilization but it is far too inconsistent.
Gameplan:
Somewhat tilted angle shoot and throw: To maximize the effectiveness of this Bit, you can employ a slight angle and throw the Beyblade on the opposing side from where you launch. This is to avoid knockouts and to conserve stamina.
Be aware of the top corners on the opposite side of where the Xtreme Finish is: Aim to try to KO with your movement.
Needs a STRONG shoot to be consistent.
Overall
Leon Crest is the best defense blade in Beyblade X, making it essential for competitive play. 7-60 offers great weight and defense, suitable for both defense and attack combinations. While the Gear Needle limits the stock combination, the Bit itself is useful as a stamina destabilizer. Leon Crest is a must-have for any blader.
